Smylor offers a Cookies consent solution to provide flexibility to users that wish to prevent Smylor from collecting data. The solution approach supports when data collection is necessary for Smylor services to be performed versus collecting data for other reasons. We separate our approach according to three types of consent:

Smylor Necessary Data Collection – No Consent Required

Following the E-privacy directive 2002/58/EC, consent is not required for cookies necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. With our Smylor marketplace sites, this includes consent for identifying the visitor’s location, storage of shopping cart data until a purchase is completed or cancelled, history of the visitor’s consents and other information that the visitor has chosen to save (such as their Smylor login credentials).

Smylor Optional Data Collection – Opt In Consent

Where consent is required by the E-Privacy Rules, Smylor provides the option for visitors to allow collection of visitor statistics and alignment of marketing or promotions for visitors. Specifically, visitors can give consent for activities such as Tracking, Analysis, Marketing and other monitoring of visitor behavior.

Consent as a legal basis for personal data processing under the Data Protection Regulation 2016/679/EU (GDPR) is almost always required for certain visitor activities. Smylor will always require consent for saved shopping carts, appointment reminders, custom audience marketing, forms, remarketing, retargeting and any other collection of personal data used for marketing purposes.
